BROKER
To qualify for an Illinois Real Estate Broker License in the State of Illinois you must be at least 21 years old, a high school graduate or equivalent (G.E.D.), successfully complete the required coursework and pass the state licensing exam. Effective May 1, 2011 the Broker license category replaced the former Salesperson license category.
The Broker’s License requires a total of 120 hours of approved courses.
Education Course Information: Must complete and pass 90 hour Pre License course at a real estate school approved by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
The 90 Hours can be completed by attending a 75 Hour Online / In Person/ Webinar, with the 15 Hour Interactive Course.
Once licensed with Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Broker licensees will need to take an additional 45 hours of broker post-license courses prior to the first renewal through an approved school. This will complete your required total of 120 hours.
MANAGING BROKER
To qualify for an Illinois Real Estate Managing Broker License in the State of Illinois you must have held an active Illinois Broker license for 2 years.
Managing Broker’s License requires a total of 45 hours of approved courses.
Education Course Information: Must complete and pass 45 hour Pre License course at a real estate school approved by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
The 45 Hours can be completed in one of 2 ways.
1. 30 Hour Online / Webinar
2. 45 Hour Interactive Course
